A lot has been asking why Concert King Martin Nievera wasn’t seen performing in the Sunday variety show of ABS-CBN “ASAP Rocks” last Sunday. He was suppose to celebrate his 29th anniversary as a showbiz personality in the show but it didn’t push through because he failed to show up.

The show was having a comeback celebration for the Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo last week after she left for a month-long dance and singing lessons abroad. A lot has been speculating that Martin’s absence was because of Geronimo’s comeback. When he was asked why didn’t show up in the program, he replied it with the following tweets:
“u wanna know the sad truth? only if u have a persistent manager can u get the treatment u wish u had.”
“loyalty, faithfulness, being there from the 1st day, NONE of this matters. all u need is a loud demanding manager.”
“its better to be a diva pala…”

However, Nievera made it clear that his absence has nothing to do with Geronimo’s comeback party. “@lyannekeith04 it never was about Sarah. I have the highest respect and love for her,” Nievera said through his twitter account.

“Maybe my sadness stems from the reality that ASAP can do without me. I see it for myself. It’s a sad, happy pain.” Nievera added.
