In the music industry, tight competition is always present, not to mention the pressure of keeping your fans in as much as keeping your songs on the hit charts. This isn’t an easy task and sometimes groups can’t stand the pressure and eventually split up and gone with the wind.
Let’s just hope this won’t become the aftermath of the sixteen long years of the American hip hop group Black Eyed Peas in the industry. Their recent pull out of the MJ Tribute Concert last weekend was rumored to be their final curtain call despite the explanation that it was all due to “unavoidable circumstances”. The group has been trying to pull things through as months pass by since the split up issue came out. If you can still recall, last July, Fergie (Stacy Ann Ferguson) announced that the band will be taking a break but emphasized that it wasn’t going to be the last time that the world will see them. Will.I.Am (William Adams) also tweeted just recently “BEP will never die”. However, come to think of it, if you will just read between the lines, they never said it straight to the point that they aren’t splitting up.
This coming 25th of October, the group will be rocking out Manila, Philippines and concert tickets were surely been sold out. Fans were that excited to jump with the beat of “Let’s Get It Started”, “Boom Boom Pow”, “Don’t Stop the Party”, and “The Time-Dirty Bit”. Of course a lot has been expecting to hear “My Humps”, “I Gotta Feeling”, “Don’t Phunk With My Heart”, and “Meet Me Halfway” as well on SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.
So far, there has been no announcement of cancellation or whatsoever of the upcoming concert and I guess it would eventually be realized. Let’s just hope no “unavoidable circumstances” will come out towards the expected date.
