BREAKING NEWS: Robin Padilla marries Mariel Rodriguez in Baguio City – The whirlwind romance between Philippine Cinema’s Bad Boy Robin Padilla and ABS-CBN’s bubbly host Mariel Rodriguez resulted to marriage.

According to ABS-CBN.com, the simple yet private ceremony was held in Baguio City and was officiated by a mambunong, or the priest of the Ibaloi tribe. A photo proof is also included in the news article.

The two celebrities tied the knot last Monday, September 13, 2010 at 3PM. Those who witnessed the sacred event thought the couple is shooting a movie since they were wearing Ibaloi clothes.

“Tinanong ko si Robin kung kasal talaga ito. Sabi niya, ‘Oo, kasal talaga.’ Kaya sinimulan ko na,” Jimmy Ong said.

To symbolize their love, the two drank rice wine and danced Tayao, which is a symbolism of marriage. The two had pig’s blood on their faces during the duration of the ceremony. Though Padilla is muslim, his mother is igorot. It is also said to be a legal marriage.

As of presstime, Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla haven’t released an official statement about their showbiz career plans. A news came out recently that Mariel’s former co-host Toni Gonzaga is not in good terms with her.
