Milking the system?…once again someone who has a job is 100% ingorant as to how bad it is out there. When I had a job I knew it was bad…but now that I’m unemployed I REALLY KNOW how bad it is. It’s easy for those who are employed to sit on their high horse and complain WE unemployed are milking the system. Here’s something to chew on…..for every one job opening theres over 100 applicants at the least….so your chance of getting that job is 1 in 100!! How are those oddds for ya?….and ya know what?!! Even local grocery store and mall jobs aren’t hireing! I was an admin for 6 years, and I was soooo sick of being unemployed that I even applied to work at a makeup counter at the mall….NOT even these places are giving interviews!! I have a feeling I’m not the only one who has done this. Serioulsy how could anyone want to milk the system…..do you even realize how little (though helpful at the least) an unemployment check is? Do you seriously think people with a house, bills, an education, and children would rather sit on their ass and get a check for a third of what they use to make. If you really do sit back and look at all this….the only ones who would really milk the system are probably teens that got fired and are still living at home anyway. I can’t imagine that the majority of the unemployed fits that margin. What I wouldent give to work again…do you seriously think people like working somewhere for years…developing a good work ethic….developing friendships in a workplace….and getting a paycheck enjoy being laid off?!!! saying it’s been tough is like saying….hurricane Katrina was a thunderstorm…..My life has been turned upsidedown ….just like many others…..so instead of assuming we unemployed are milking the system try to open your eyes!! ….just wait in see…the grass isn’t greener over here…IT’S DEAD!!!
