India Day Parade NYC 2010 : August 15 is a special day for Indians all over the world mainly because it is the day wherein India finally gained its full independence from England. It was in August 15, 1947, which makes today their 64th Independence Day.

To give tribute to this historic event, the India Day Parade NYC 2010 started today at 11AM with street  fair spanning from the 23rd to 26th Streets. The official parade started at 1PM, wherein the formation place is at the 38th Street and the participants walked their way to Madison Avenue. By 2PM, the performers who were assigned to render a special number today from US and India will already start with the program. We heard that there are at least 300 performers signed to showcase their talents tonight.
