The much loved former child star Jiro Manio has been on his dark times these days that an admission to a rehabilitation facility is very much needed. He has been addicted to prohibited drugs due to family problems that he is facing. Manio’s parents died and he is also having problems with the mother of his daughter. The entire industry was deeply saddened of what’s happening to him and are hoping that he’ll get through this in time.

During the recent Urian Awards when director Maryo J Delos Reyes received an award for his film Magnifico as one of the best films of the decade, he wasn’t able to stop himself from crying as he remembers the lead star of his film who happens to be Jiro. He is praying that Jiro would be able to get back on track after the one year rehabilitation. Part of the director’s speech for Jiro is for him to accept all things happening in his life with prayers and he should not give up on his dreams and would respect himself more.

Jiro has been a multi awarded star and received the Best Actor award of Urian in 2004 at the young age of 12. On the same year, he also won the best child star actor award for FAMAS. He starred numerous box-office and award winning films including Magnifico, Anak, Bagong Buwan, Ang Tanging Ina movies and a lot more.
