Kelly Preston, the wife of Hollywood actor John Travolta, will never say a word when gives birth to her third baby.
The couple had a 16-year-old son Jett who died after suffering a seizure in January 2009. And now, they are believed to follow “silent birth” guidelines of the Church of Scientology, the group in which the two are both members.
To explain further, “silent birth” means no music, no talking, no screaming or any kinds of noise made during the pains of labor.
So why is this so?
According to RadarOnline, Amy Scobee, a former leader of the Church explains, “One is meant to be as silent as possible so as to not give the child a ‘birth engram’ with ‘hypnotic’ type phrases and sounds that will re-stimulate him later in life.”
Meanwhile, John disclosed Kelly’s pregnancy that came after years of trying to conceive again: “We tried for several years, and we didn’t think it was going to happen again for us.”
“This is a miracle, and we feel blessed and we are so moved by the generous outpouring of support and goodwill we’ve received from people all over the world.”
