A kite surfer has reportedly been killed in a shark attack at Stuart Beach in Florida.
The Stuart Beach Florida shark attack victim, Stephen Howard Schafer, 38, of Stuart Florida was kite surfing at Stuart Beach at about 4.15 PM and suddenly sharks attacked him, according to Bureau Chief Doug Killane of Martin County Fire-Rescue and Martin County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rhonda Irons.
Witnesses say that a lifeguard found the Stuart Beach Florida shark attack victim with shark bites and sharks in the water. Stephen Howard Schafer was rushed to a local area hospital, listed in critical condition, but unfortunately passed.
Several thousand sharks have been spotted near coast of South Florida recently. In fact, beach lifeguards closed a Palm Beach County beach last weekend, after fishermen caught a 10-foot long hammerhead shark.
Stuart Florida Beach is actually known for its natural beauty of wide water ways that dominate the environment, miles of uncrowded beaches and its small-town charm. Stuart Florida Beach is open today for swimmers who want to go back in the water. The last fatal shark attack before this recent shark attack with Stephen Howard Schafer in Stuart Florida was in 2005.
Beaches are one way to go to relax and have fun. However, before you go, I guess you need to research more first on the nature of the beach most especially if it’s shark infested beach.
