Already well known for her outrageous outfits, Lady Gaga became the talk of the town once again for her meat dress which she wore at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards (2010 VMAs).
This is not her first time to wear a meat dress, in fact, she already did that with a meat bikini on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan.

Lady Gaga received her award for Video of the Year for Bad Romance from Cher that night wearing the meat dress with matching purse which she even gave to the music icon to hold while she makes her speech and announcing the title of her new album, “Born This Way” before thanking fans.
Now, many fans are wondering what statement is Lady Gaga trying to make with the outfit. Fortunately, well known vegan, Ellen DeGeneres was able to ask her about it and she answered:
“Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth. However, it has many interpretations but for me this evening. If we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat.”
On the lighter side, Ellen responded with the answer in jest by presenting to her a bikini made out of vegetables and suggested that she wear that one next time.
