The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics is already over. Various athletes participated in its closing ceremony in which the Winter Olympic Flag was passed on from Canada to Russia where the next Winter Olympic Games in 2014 will take place.

So what are the medal standings of participating countries in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics? Team USA is continuously leading in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Medal Count until the very end with 37 medals. Germany follows to USA in terms of medal count with 30 medals, followed by Canada with 26 medals, Norway with 23 medals, and Austria with 16 medals.

Among the first time medalists in the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010 include Swiss ski jumper Simon Ammann who grabbed the first gold of the 2010 Olympics, while speedskater Apolo Anton Ohno was the first American to medal in Vancouver. Hannah Kearney was the first member of Team USA to win gold medal.
