The 16th Screen Actors Guild Awards 2010 or more commonly known as the SAG Awards 2010 is being held now at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. Screen Actors Guild is the nation’s largest labor union representing working actors.

There will be a live simulcast on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), 7 p.m. (CT) and 6 p.m. (MT). Veteran TV, film, stage actor and four-time Actor nominee John Slattery, who stars as Roger Sterling on AMC’S hit drama “Mad Men,” will open the red carpet for the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards 2010.

How are the nominees nominated? Nominees for the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2010 are chosen by separate film and television nominating committees, each composed of 2100 actors, random-selected anew in the spring each year from the Guild’s nationwide membership of more than 120,000 acting professionals.
