Have you’ve heard of this new business called Send a Ball? This unique business allows you to Send a Ball in the Mail! How cool is that?

Sendaball, Inc. is a family business headquartered in Chicago. It is owned by a couple of BALLSY sisters who live across the street from each other in the same northwestside Chicago neighborhood they grew up in.

These Ballsy sisters have been sending balls since the 90s, but one day in 2003 this CRAZY business idea went live and they named it Send a Ball. One of the ballsy sisters named Michelle said that sahe came from the direct mail world, so she knew the mailing rules sending silly things in the mail over the years.

One day she was in Osco, saw a BIN of bouncy balls, grabbed one and thought “I can mail this”. She then took one ball and sent the ball in the mail and addressed it to her BFF Sharon by writing “Have BALL with your new baby”.

Sharon loved it so much. One day while standing in line at the post office, a guy behind asked about the balls to be sent in the mail and asked it’s possible to send one for him. Laughing, Michelle called her sister and told her how funny that just was. She said, ” MICH, I THINK WE ARE ONTO SOMETHING”. – a BUSINESS!

Before starting SENDaBALL business, the sisters spent many hours trying to come up with a way to run a business so at least ONE of them could stay home with their children.

Here are some of the answers to the questions you might have about the Send a Ball Business of the ballsy sisters:

- The ball is about the size of your head

- The balls are sent fully inflated and are sent First Class Mail by the regular United States Postal Service.

- Ball Orders generally ship the next business day and take anywhere from 4 to 14 business days to be delivered.

- You can send a ball outside of the country for additional $3 and takes about 2-3 weeks of delivery

Send A Ball, One of my favorite shows on TV right now is Shark Tank, Multi-Millionaire business owners who hear investment proposals from entrepreneurs and …

This is not a unique, new or proprietary idea. People have ebeen sending coconuts from Hawaii since World War II.

Why pay them $20? Go buy your own ball at Walmart, wirte whatever you want with a permanent ink pen (Sharpie) and put your own postage on it… that will cost you $5.00

Joe, I am wondering if it’s worth the headache, to drive to the shop, buy the balls, get the permanent marker, write your greeting, fix the stamps and post the balls, when you can easily do it from the comfort of your home by ordering online.

Taking in to consideration, all those facts I Beleive $20 is a pretty reasonable price.

$20 is a rip off …. go to giggleballgreetings.com $10 shipped and the balls are way cooler.

This idea is okay but like the sharks at shark tank said – their is no patent so anyone can do this ….

We use to do this in college all the time..

It’s not an original idea – just a business built around a clever idea!!!
