What You Need to Know About GRID and AIDS : Due to the awareness campaign brought up by different concerned organizations, people are now looking for the definition of GRID and AIDS.

GRID is the abbreviation for Gay-Related Immune Deficiency. It is also known as gay plague or GRIDS. The term was coined sometime in 1982 . It was caused by the rampant rise of of Kaposi’s sarcoma and Pneumocystis pneumonia among gay people living in New York City and San Francisco. The term was later on converted to AIDS or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.
